My journey with God started yesterday. No I did not go for a powerful church service that got me thinking about my life, neither did Jesus appear to me or an angel telling me to stop what I was doing and follow God... I really am extremely happy when I hear how dramatic and inspirational some peoples stories are and I believe that there turnaround is one of those moments that change your live forever....
I used to be what you call a "NORMAL" Christian. My story is not out of the ordinary, I go to church every Sunday Of course lying, saying swear words etc are not out of the extraordinary...I did all that, but above all the question that everyone should ask is "WHY START TODAY"
Trust me sometime before, if I come across something like this, I wouldn't have even read it halfway, but if it was a story about Kim Kardashian, I would read the entire story, even saved her pictures so I can copy or admire the "Dress sense"
A Dear friend/colleague died April during the DANA PLANE CRASH...The funny thing was that I saw her that week, we talked and said we should have lunch together. This is a very caring lady I am talking about here. She touched peoples lives in one way or the other...but she DIED. My very amiable and lovely Classmate in University also DIED..He was the live...always making jokes, laughing etc...
Another got me thinking...I had a classmate, very beautiful, she dresses so well..All of a sudden she gave her life to God and left the "WORLD" in quote, married a believer. She was what you will call "NORMAL"
This got me thinking...There was an emptiness I felt, a hollow....I wasn't "BAD" in our context, but I knew the purpose of coming to the earth isn't just to acquire possessions, We are ALL called to preach the word to all nations... that's the main purpose of being on earth...
I deleted all my wordly songs " Yes I liked 2chainzz and Kanye,Beyonce ETC...But we leave all things that do not edify his name...
Romans 15...take time to encourage one another
Am a newbie in Christ, taking baby steps....The Lord help me as I walk this path of righteousness for his name sake....
AND YES I NEVER SAID IT WILL BE EASY.....I JUST KNOW IT WILL BE WORTH IT....FOLLOW ME ON THIS EXCITING JOURNEY.....
